Pastor Carl Frost spoke on the dichotomy of our lives which Paul spoke about: that of Spirit-driven living and flesh-driven living. Pastor Carl explained how the way we live our lives indicates what is in our heart, and what that means in light of our relationship with Christ and hope for the future.

Also, Carl drank a pulled-pork, raw egg, and cayenne pepper milkshake.

Pastor Carl Frost spoke about the duality that existed in the early Church: how much easier it seemed for people to be stuck in the ways of the old law, preferring rituals and customs that they had kept for generations to honor God instead of truly letting the Gospel infiltrate their way of life. We do this in our lives as well. Instead of being willing to submit to Christ’s freedom, we prefer to live in a stale, legalistic, ritualistic Christianity. Jesus calls us to something better: loving submission to the new covenant which leads to complete freedom.

He talked about those in the church in Galatia who were still choosing to follow the Mosaic Law instead of trusting in the new covenant and relationship we have with God through Christ and the Holy Spirit.
